Tampa Bay Tech Titans Ready to Reload in 2025 Season Opener Against Apopka
After a strong 9-3 campaign in 2024, the Tampa Bay Tech Titans are back with a chip on their shoulder and eyes set on an even deeper playoff run in 2025. While the team has lost some key playmakers to graduation and transfer, the Titans are far from rebuilding — they’re reloading.
Key Departures Create Big Shoes to Fill
The offseason brought big changes to the Titans' roster. Wide receiver Dallas Wilson, a long-time staple of the offense, is now suiting up for the Florida Gators. Star athlete Santonyo Isaac is taking his talents to Eastern Michigan, and dynamic playmaker Darryon Jones has transferred to powerhouse Chaminade-Madonna. While the trio leaves behind a legacy of explosive plays and leadership, the Titans have no shortage of rising stars ready to carry the torch.
Season Opens Against Central Florida Power Apopka
Tampa Bay Tech kicks off its 2025 campaign on August 15 in a heavyweight battle against Apopka, one of Central Florida’s most respected programs. The matchup is expected to set the tone for the Titans’ season and give fans an early look at this year’s firepower.
Offensive Leaders: Pickett & Barnett
The offense is now in the hands of Cannon Pickett, a dominant offensive lineman committed to Miami, and Javari Barnett, a bruising Alabama commit and one of the top running backs in the country.
Pickett isn’t just the leader of the offensive line — he’s one of the best linemen in the nation, bringing elite strength, technique, and leadership to the trenches. His protection and run-blocking will be key to opening holes for Barnett, who looks every bit like your typical Alabama running back — tough, fast, and relentless.
Barnett enters the season as a workhorse back with the tools to lead the state in rushing. His blend of power and vision makes him nearly impossible to contain for four quarters, and he’s expected to be the engine of the Titans' offense.
Breakout Playmakers: Daniels & Moore
Don’t sleep on Isaiah Daniels and Trevon Moore, two versatile offensive threats who are poised for breakout seasons. Whether it's passing, catching, or running, these two do-it-all athletes give Tampa Bay Tech flexibility and explosiveness all over the field. Expect them to play key roles in gadget packages, wildcat formations, and big-play opportunities.
Defense Anchored by FAU Commits
The Titans' defense isn’t short on talent either. Eric Parks and Tyson Stroud, both committed to Florida Atlantic, are the vocal and physical leaders of a unit that plans to swarm to the ball and create turnovers. Parks brings downhill speed and aggression at linebacker, while Stroud locks down the secondary with great instincts and ball skills.
With major star power, elite college-bound talent, and a deep hunger to take the next step, Tampa Bay Tech is one of the most dangerous teams in the state heading into the 2025 season. The Titans may have lost some headliners, but don’t expect a drop-off — this team is built to win now.
