Joshua Lewis

Blake's success is fueled by a blend of experienced upperclassmen and talented newcomers. Senior guard Joshua Lewis, who is ranked by ESPN as one of the top players in the country, has been the heart and soul of the team. Lewis’s ability to score from anywhere on the court, paired with his leadership and playmaking, makes him a matchup nightmare for opposing teams. The ESPN ranking is a reflection of his work ethic and all-around game, and he will be one of the focal point for Blake as they make their run.

JoJo Philon, the dynamic junior has emerged as a superstar in his own right. Philon’s explosive athleticism, sharp shooting, and ability to guard all five positions complement Lewis perfectly, creating a duo that opposing defenses are finding nearly impossible to contain.

Blake has also benefitted from some key additions this year, which have added depth and versatility to an already stacked lineup. Senior guard MJ Ward brings additional scoring and playmaking to the backcourt, while senior forward Jason Johnson adds an athletic presence inside and on the boards. TJ Daniels, another versatile wing player, has provided stability and toughness on both ends of the floor. The addition of Jordan Mickens, a skilled guard, has also help bring a sense of toughness to the team.

These new faces have blended seamlessly with the team’s core players, and their contributions have made Blake even more dangerous this season.

While Blake has added new talent, the team is also benefiting from the return of two key veterans: Rashif Sinkfield and Shamar Council. Both players have been instrumental in Blake’s success last season, and their experience has been invaluable to the team. Sinkfield’s scoring ability and versatility, along with Council’s defensive tenacity and leadership, have been crucial in maintaining the team's momentum and keeping the squad grounded as they chase their goals for the season.

As Blake enters the "Hoopfest", they have an opportunity to prove that their 9-0 record is no fluke. The tournament will feature some of the best high school talent in the country, and the Yellow Jackets are more than ready for the challenge.

Blake basketball is on a mission this season, and the "Hoopfest" tournament is just the next step in their quest for greatness. Fans of the Yellow Jackets will be eagerly watching as the team looks to remain undefeated and continue their journey toward a state title. The road to the championship is long, but if this team has shown anything so far, it’s that they’re more than capable of finishing what they started.
